Makenzie completely killed it during her senior session. Our original plan was to do the session in the studio. And then we talked about some outdoor portraits as well. And then she said, “How about a sunflower field?” Uh…. yes! How about a sunflower field!
Makenzie graduates this coming spring and is planning to head to cosmetology school which is right in line with her passion and love for hair and makeup. We asked her why she loved her session and she said it was fun to have a shoot all to herself. She mentioned that it made her feel so beautiful and confident. There was even a boy at the sunflower field who whispered, “Look mommy! A model!” She also loves that her photos show her personality and although they aren’t posted here, we did capture a few of her goofing off in front of the camera.
When we asked her parents about the session her dad said it was important to capture her at this age which is such an incredible time in life. Her mom said the same but also added that is was fulfilling to see how excited her daughter was after the shoot. She loved the fact that her daughter got to experience a photo shoot all for herself and the fact that she felt beautiful made her very happy. Of course they’ll be giving prints to grandparents, using some for graduation announcements, as well as the dedication page in the yearbook.
They also talked about how important is was to be able to see the photos of Makenzie and realize they had done a good job raising a decent, thoughtful person. It was almost as if they were reflecting on the past 18 years in the blink of an eye. You could see how proud they were of their daughter and everything she has become.
Thank you for the incredible session Makenzie! All the best to you in the future!
